Dragged Into The Woods
In this vintage bondage illustration, an evil-looking fellow has got his hands on a fair peasant girl and (apparently) dragged her off into the woods. Tying her wrists to a pair of handy birch trees, he gets to work:
I don’t know the artist, but this has the look of propaganda — perhaps Russian, intended to vilify one of that much-beset country’s many invaders? Picture is from Usenet.
This graphic is one of 12 sheets from the briefcase “Balkangreuel” (Balkan Cruelties) of Archibald Smith (born 1856). The briefcase appeared in an edition of 550 copies as private print 1909 in Vienna, Austria.
