Nothing in a movie annoys me more than a rope tie that the actress could escape in two seconds as soon as the director shouts “Cut!” Oh, and is that a rope gag? Hard to tell from this shot. I’m guessing whoever put her there lacked a key to unlock the pillory, and just left her there so the village Lord Mayor (or whoever) could properly pillory her later.
