Staked-Out Prizes
When I saw this vintage comic book panel it immediately reminded me of the passages in Nomads Of Gor describing the so-called “Love War” on the plains of Turia. That was described as an annual martial sporting event where men fought duels for pretty female prizes, namely the women of their enemies, who were staked out during the contest to guarantee their continued presence and collectibility by the winner. Perhaps it looked something like this:
