The Big Slaving Bird Don’t Care
You’d think that a bird that carries away slavegirls would have, you know, cargo limitations. Trading weight for range and speed, like. It seems to me you’d get further, quicker, while being chased by angry fathers, husbands, and other persons whose attractive chattel you’ve recently lifted, if you left the heavy chains at home and used leather thongs to secure what you’ve stolen.
You’d think that, but if so, nobody briefed cover artist Gino D’Achille on the classic Daw cover of John Norman’s Captives Of Gor. (There’s a brief scene from that book of a slavegirl bound and switched, quoted here.)
