Bound Naked On The Tracks
The trope of the helpless damsel bound and left on the railroad tracks to perish (unless her hero saves the day!) dates back to the era of silent movies and weekly adventure serials, at least. I wouldn’t be surprised if the first instance cropped up in popular culture 150 years ago. Unfortunately, the downside is that media from way back when tends to be so relentlessly chaste that our most vintage imperiled beauties are never naked. I thus prefer modern remixes of the trope that leave silly clothing off-screen:

When I saw the title “Naked on the Tacks,” I thought, “Ow!” Typo, though.
LOL, whoops! Thanks, fixed.
