I understand the time frame, but that exposé really bugs me.
Yeah. I mean, the male-gaze tabloid/sleaze editorial ethos of that day was to be as obnoxious as possible while performing a masculinist stance that was a parody of itself even then. We all get that. But it’s still jarring to see.
